Pia d’Hautefeuille is a French visual artist based in Paris. Drawing on Symbolism and Fauvism, her work explores the body as a space of desire, memory, and transformation.

Her compositions stage suspended figures within unstable spaces, where temporal, spatial, and bodily boundaries begin to dissolve. Drawing on dreamlike fragments, inherited narratives, and intimate symbols, Pia d’Hautefeuille constructs a liminal universe in which colour and material act as forces of tension. Cool, solar, and mineral tones introduce a latent tension beneath the apparent stillness of the images.

The figures oscillate between presence and erasure, vulnerability and power, as if caught in states of transition. This instability structures a broader investigation into thresholds — between worlds, genders, and states of being — as well as questions of identity and mutation, through which foundational narratives are displaced into contemporary experiences of the body.

Her work has been exhibited across Europe and North Africa, including in Paris, London, Tunis and Cyprus, and is held in international private collections.
